A Review of Himalaya Botanique Toothpaste — October 25, 2016

A Review of Himalaya Botanique Toothpaste

I am so excited to get the opportunity to share with you about a product line that s roots are unbelievable!  Get ready to rethink What, How and Why you use the toothpaste you currently use.  Today you get the chance to make a decision that will improve your oral health and it will also be helping support the very planet we have the pleasure of taking care of! Here we go – A new way to think about your Toothpaste experience!

I was so excited to receive my MomsMeet Himalaya kit!  I received six 5.29 oz types of toothpaste.  Himalaya has a full line of toothpastes that include; Whitening Complete Care Simply Peppermint, Whitening Complete Care Simply Mint, Complete Care Simply Peppermint, Simply Mint, Simply Cinnamon, Simply Spearmint, Original Neem and Pomegranate. The containers each of the toothpastes come in are recycled corrugated cardboard, really cool packaging!  As well as the paper that lines the toothpaste box is made with 100% recycled material and printed with Soy based inks.  Each box informs the consumer to store the toothpaste at room temperature, it includes the manufacturing licence number, batch number and a best before date. The Himalaya toothpastes are a product of India, and are manufactured by the Himalaya Drug Company in Makali, Bangalore India.

I chose to start with the Whitening Complete Care Simply Peppermint toothpaste.  My kits toothpastes best before dates are 2018, which is great seeing as I don’t have to worry my next toothpaste will expire before I get a chance to open up my next tube! The texture of the toothpaste is a perfect blend of not to runny and not stiff as glue.  I am able to squeeze the perfect amount on to your brush and you can do so with slight pressure.  You don’t have to worry about squeezing and having toothpaste everywhere or worse fighting with the tube and working out your hand muscles just to get the desired amount of toothpaste on your brush. I like a little more than a pea sized for my brushing experience, I am able to turn my brush upside down, say while turning on the faucet or replacing the cap without any product falling onto the counter, sink or heaven forbid your clothes!

The Himalaya Botanique Complete Care Toothpastes use a unique blend of ingredients that leave your mouth clean and healthy.  They blend the Neem leaf which has been a staple in cleaning houses forever.  The Neem leaf works to keep the mouth clean, and it does just that, my mouth feels invigorated during and after my brushing routine.  Himalaya uses Triphala to clean your teeth and giving you a radiant smile.  Triphala was new to me and I have learned that is is a natural detoxifying formula in ancient Ayurveda.  Ayurveda is a type of complementary and alternative medicine that originated in India.  It is made up of three myrobalan fruits, myrobalan referring to several unrelated fruit-bearing plant species in South Asia (India).   Himalaya uses Pomegranate as an astringent in their toothpaste – How cool is that, Eco-friendly fruit that is SOOO good for you.  As the use it as an astringent it actually helps your gums by tightening the tissues which makes your gums look radiant and healthy!  By far this toothpaste sampling experience has been one that has changed my opinion on toothpaste and the way I look at products that say they are Eco-friendly.  Himalaya has put together a product in which each ingredient is needed for a specific reason, and those reasons are Natural, Healthy and has USDA organic pure herbs.  Their are a family owned company since 1930.  Their use of a sweetener that is not sugar is another reason I feel in love with this product line!  They use Xylitol which has been studied clinically to support good Oral Hygiene – You don’t see that on many sweeteners! That makes Himalaya Botanique a company that’s toothpaste contains Neem leaf  a age old hardworking cleaner, Xylitol a tooth-friendly sweeter, A natural fruit Astringent to keep those gums looking great with Pomegranate, as well as a detoxing formula that comes from a 5,000 year old alternative medical system that believes that the journey back to wholeness begins with nurturing the capacity for joy!!  A little something special for Himalaya Botanique’s Whitening Complete Care Toothpastes, they have two Simply Peppermint and Simply Mint both have additional ingredients to help remove surface stains. The combination is that of of Papain and Bromelain. Bromelain is a mixture of enzymes found in pineapples and Papain is a powerful digestive enzyme commonly found and extracted from the papaya fruit.  What a great way to use what is natural to help us remove the stains we gather on our teeth during the day from our mostly un-natural products!

Himalaya Herbal Healthcare offers a full line of herbal formulations for body care products.  I tried this product with the assumption that it would be a healthy toothpaste that would suffice period.  I was wrong.  I have been overwhelmed with how much I enjoy and look forward to my tooth brushing ritual these days!  I have learned that as I continue my tooth-brushing ritual, with Himalaya Toothpaste I am helping my body remove plaque tighten my gums and whiten my smile, just due to the time and effort taken to put together this specific formulation of ingredients.  Knowing that the toothpaste I am using was not just made in order to clean teeth and create a product, rather this is a company that has been family owned since 1930 and has taken the time and financial investment for clinical trials on their products, even the time and energy to use USDA certified Pure herbs.  This company top to bottom has put 5,000 years of natural complementary and practical medicinal knowledge along with real pure organic products to produce a toothpaste that leaves your mouth happy, maintaining whiter teeth, tighter gums and your mouth more Radiant!

Himalaya believes that is wellness is the path to happiness, they must contribute to the wellness of all things: the environment and communities.  They believe in supporting community health, sustainable farming and environmental responsibility.  I believe this company has a bright future, as I recommend Himalaya Toothpaste to everyone!  It is by far a superior product from the packaging to the ingredients!

Living Echoes

One day tells its tale to another and one night imparts knowledge to another, although they have no words or language, and their voices are not heard, their sound has gone out into all the lands, and their message to the ends of the world. -- Psalm 19:2-4
